EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION AND MOTIVATION
Satisfaction with one’s work is a driving feeling of wellbeing experienced by people who have an opportunity to realise their potential and develop their competencies in a supportive environment. According to research, companies’ success is clearly related to employees’ satisfaction and dedication: the more motivated the employees, the better the economic results. We will support you in mapping employees’ satisfaction and motivation and working out improvement activities.
Our model of satisfaction survey is based on recognised theories and mainly focuses on the assessment of: working environment; organisation of work; management; cooperation; flow of information; motivation; organisational culture; loyalty and dedication.
The survey can be flexibly adapted to different organisations.
CULTURE AND VALUES
Culture is what helps to create a sense of identity, helps to attract and keep good people. A strong culture also creates unambiguous standards, rules of and trends in behaviour. It is possible to deliberately shape culture through values. The first step in this process is mapping the values of the organisation, which will provide:
• an overview of the actual state of the organisational culture – existing values and people’s attitude towards them;
• knowledge about the expectations and attitudes in the organisation, which will serve as an essential basis for developing and supporting further activities.
Psience’s value mapping model relies on recognised theories and is easily adjustable to the needs of each organisation. In addition to mapping we can also plan follow-up activities – consultations, training sessions, workshops – to develop, reinforce and/or change the company’s values.
DEVELOPMENT AND CAREER
Employees have often competencies that are not reflected in the section of work they are doing and may go unnoticed. There are also employees who are at the peak of their career age and need feedback to support their further development. It is practical to assess employees’ different competencies for several reasons. For example, this helps to find out if there are any so-called hidden resources in the organisation. Assessment is also useful for people’s career-related movement or intra-company rotation. Assessment allows charting the organisation of work, planning succession or supporting people’s career decisions.
One of the most common methods is 360-degree feedback appraisal, which enables giving diverse comprehensive feedback. In most cases we have conducted 360-degree appraisals of managers. When assessing managers, we mainly focus on: business thinking; team management; client-centeredness and cooperation; process management; self-management and self-development. The exact structure of the study will depend on the needs of the company and the defined competencies.
